The Epsilon Lambda chapter of Beta Theta Pi was established at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1984 and received its charter in 1989, 150 years after the original founding of Beta Theta Pi at Miami University. To date, UMKC's Epsilon Lambda Chapter has seen over 300 young men pass through its halls.  Over 150 have gone on to become practicing physicians, with many others becoming lawyers, pharmacists, dentists, and business leaders.  After only 26 years on the UMKC campus, Epsilon Lambda has become the leading fraternity, setting the example for all others in grades, community service, and athletics.  However, the men of Epsilon Lambda are men of principle at heart.  Our brotherhood aids each individual by promoting academic excellence, campus and community involvement, fraternal bonding, and personal fulfillment, all in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
