 Schedule of Events

 Friday, August 19th

Open House All Day

Our Chapter House on 5229 Rockhill Road will be open all day for any student and parents interested in our Fraternity. We would be happy to give tours and share information about our Chapter at UMKC! Feel free to stop by any time! Our house will also be open for tours and information throughout Rush Week.

Saturday, August 20th

5:00pm :: IFC 101 at the University Playhouse

Each of the five Interfraternity Council Fraternities at UMKC will present information about their chapter at UMKC. This event is a great opportunity to learn about what each Fraternity has to offer at UMKC. Free pizza will be provided!

8:00pm :: Game Night at the Beta Theta Pi Chapter House

There will be tons of classic playing card games at the Chapter House! Come ready to meet the members of Beta Theta Pi and test out your card game skills!

Sunday, August 21st

5:00pm :: Tailgate (Outside Durwood Stadium)

The members of Beta Theta Pi will join the other IFC Fraternities and many other organizations on the circle drive of Swinney Recreation Center on the Northeast corner of the Durwood Stadium for a pre-game tailgate.

7:00pm :: Men's Soccer Game (UMKC vs. Rockhurst University @ UMKC)

Join us as we cheer on the Roos in their first game of the season! The Roos will be playing against the Rockhurst Hawks, the rival school just across Troost Street.

Monday, August 22nd

4:00pm-6:30pm :: Slip & Slide on the Beta House Lawn

Spanning the length of the Betas' front lawn, the Slip & Slid is a great way to stay cool in the summer heat while meeting our members and many other new UMKC Students. We will be providing home-cooked BBQ too, so bring your appetite!

6:30pm-8:00pm :: Greek 101 at the University Playhouse

This is an introductory session put on by the Fraternity and Sorority Council at UMKC. The session will explain the recruitment process, membership requirements, and the benefits of joining Greek Life at UMKC. Free snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Tuesday, August 23rd

8:00pm :: Wii Olympics on the Beta House Lawn

Join us just after sundown for a Wii Challenge. We will project the Wii games onto large screens draped over our Chapter House for a night of fun competition out on the lawn!

Wednesday, August 24th

5:00pm-8:00pm :: Volleyball and Cookout on the Beta House Lawn

Good food, music, and competition with new friends is sure to be a fun evening!

Thursday, August 25th

7:00 :: BETA PAINT PARTY!!! at the University Playhouse

Our Paint Party is by far the biggest, messiest, and most exciting event during Rush Week. Come join the members of the UMKC Chapter of Beta Theta Pi as we finish the Rush Week with our Annual Paint Party! All UMKC Students are welcome to attend, so bring all your friends! Wear old clothes and come ready for a great time! There will be lots of paint, music, and new people to meet!
