Leadership

Beta Theta Pi prides itself in setting the standard for leadership development among all fraternities nationally.  Beta has won awards for our strides toward member development and mainly leadership development, and are widely recognized as the pioneers in fraternity leadership development.  Through Beta Theta Pi's unprecedented leadership development efforts, thousands of Beta undergraduates attend intense leadership programs annually.  Whether it is  the Beta chapter presidents meeting in Oxford, Ohio for the Miller Nichols President's Academy each February or chapter members attending either Beta's national convention (In Toronto this Summer), The groundbreaking Institute for the Men of Principle in the Summer, Beta Wilderness Challenge, Undergraduate Inter-fraternity Institute, or Future's Quest, Beta has evolved into the Premier Leadership Fraternity nationally, and Epsilon Lambda has been a part of that every step of the way.  This year alone we will send 11 members to leadership development opportunities throughout the country to join other brothers from the United States and Canada in pursuing the ideals set forth by all members of Beta Theta Pi.  A famous Beta once said "To know our past is to secure our future," and Beta's foundation in leadership will no doubt yield the leaders of tomorrow and secure Beta Theta Pi's place among Fraternity Greatness.

"A man without direction is a man with potential.  He will make a choice to stay without direction, or to make a path for himself paved by his own ideals and aspirations.  The man who does this, has found purpose in his own life.  The man who does this, and then seeks out others with which to share his ideals, truly has succeeded and has passed on the value of leadership to all of those who follow after him.  Beta Theta Pi has given purpose to many brothers, myself included, and it is the right, and the obligation of each of those men to seek out other like-minded individuals, share with them his successes, and call him brother."
